The Art Studio Tour is very pleased to have Brent Crabb back for his second year as a Tour artist. The detail in Brent’s drawings will captivate you whether the subject is a local landmark, a well known celebrity, or your own cherished pooch. Visiting his studio in a historic home on the west side of downtown Green Bay is an experience in itself. Brent has been a subject of Warren Gerd’s “Work Space – Where Creative People Do Their Thing” feature in the Green Bay Press Gazette, and his home was also featured in Gerd’s “A is for Architecture” series also in the newspaper. Brent and his wife, Peggy, will warmly welcome you when you visit on the Tour weekend (Oct. 7-8).
Brent Crabb Bio
I started my quest to become a pencil artist at an early age. The story that is still told amongst my family members today is that if they were taking care of me, they would sit me at the table, give me a pencil and paper, and I would be content for hours.
After high school, I studied commercial art in La Crosse, WI. I then went on to study drafting and mechanical design in Green Bay, WI. Throughout this journey, there were a few sidetracks, but art was always prevalent. I have done illustration and logo work, renderings for developers and real estate companies, numerous commission drawing and even threw in a few custom motorcycle paint jobs. My favorite throughout this pursuit was working as a monument layout artist.
